Chitedze

The team carries out research on cassava and sweetpotato. The team conducts research on breeding and processing and utilization of these crops. Additionally, the team investigates various agronomic and cultural practices for cassava and sweetpotato.

Areas of research
(i) developing cultural and agronomic practices for cassava and sweetpotato
(ii) screening varieties for tolerance/resistance against pests and diseases, and
(iii) evaluating processing equipment, tools and other technologies.
