It promotes justice, helping the children to access their rights and understand their responsibilities.

The Children’s Voice

Chisomo aims to give the children a voice in all decisions affecting them, from family level through to influencing national laws and policies. Read what the children say and how they are involved.

The Malawi Situation

Malawi is the poorest country in the world that is not either involved in, or recovering from, civil war. Life expectancy is now 39 years old due to the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The Malawi government estimates that there are now more than 2 million orphans out of a total population of 11 million people.
