- Encouraging and motivarting people in conserving the enviroment by: 
Identifying alternative income generating activities 
- Equipping individuals ,groups and communities to adopt alternative activities

School tree Education Project 
 GOAL 
To generat susutainable mnagement of indegenious forests and trees toensure bettter living standards of future generations 
 
 
AIMS 
the project aims at: 
 - Educating urban schools about trees and the enviroment through prctical experience 
-Giving schools the possibility of having some income generartng activities combined with tree growing 
-Assisting schools with nurseriy material and publications with the aim of helping the Govermment of MAlawi`s eforts in reafforestration 
--Collection \usefule data about indigineous trees seedlings production and seed treatment ,as part of essays,reports for scientific use 
- Empowering scho\ol children to make ther own decisions on planing, monitoring and evaluation matters of their own projects 
 
 
 
APPROACH
-PRoviding schools with  neccesary materials for ttree nursry establishment 
-Monitorng school`s prpgress 
- Providing school`s with publications of forestry activities 
-Propviding advice to schools 
 
 
ACHIEVEMENTS 
 
-Establishment of 4 Center NUrsuries  inBlantyre ,ZOmba Monkey Bay and Lilongwe 
-Sensitised school`s and communities in tree Planting 
- 300 schools are participating in the project counrywide 
-Production of educational materials 
-Awarding of prizes to a number of school  for a well done job in tree planting 
 
 
FUTURE
 

Establish  more centre nurseries 
Involve  more than a thoyusand schools 
Produce  more educational materials  on the tree planting  exercise
