Law Reform

Since it became operational in 1998, the Commission has completed some thirteen reports ranging from the technical review of the Constitution; security (Army and Police legislations respectively); penal law; guidelines on bail; censorship and public entertainment; admission to legal profession; corruption; criminal procedure; conversion of fines; juvenile justice; and the law of succession.

The Commission is presently looking at laws relating to child care and protection; land; legal aid; education; marriage; divorce; traditional courts system; judicial service commission; and insolvency.
