MALAWI PRESIDENTIAL AND PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS

In a consolidation of the multiparty democracy system in Malawi, the Malawi Presidential and Parliamentary Elections were held on 15 June 1999. The elections were run by the Malawi Electoral Commission. Eleven political parties competed in the elections featuring five presidential candidates.
