To ensure that the developed items conform to the required standards, critique teams are organised to thoroughly review the items. The review is done concurrently with the setting. The critics among other things look into issues of syllabus coverage, level of difficulty of the items emerging issues such as gender, HIV / AIDS and environment. None of the setters or critics leaves the setting venue with any draft items. All items are left in the custody of senior security officers.
